About Idle Ants

Idle Ants gives you a colony and a picnic. Ants march out, take a bite of whatever food is on the table, and carry it home. Each delivery earns money to buy more ants, make them faster, or let them carry more. Finish a food item and a bigger one appears: a sandwich, a cake, a whole roast. The joy is watching hundreds of tiny ants strip a chicken drumstick to the bone.

There is no failure state and nothing to defend. It is an idle game you can leave on a second screen.

How to Play Idle Ants

Tap the food to start the ants.
Spend earnings on more ants, speed and carrying capacity.
Clear each food item to unlock the next, larger one.
Keep upgrading; the numbers scale with the size of the meal.

Controls

Mouse or touch: tap food and the upgrade buttons.
Nothing else to control; the ants do the work.

Tips and Tricks

Speed and capacity upgrades pay back faster than raw ant count once you have a few dozen ants.
Tapping the food yourself helps early, then stops mattering.
